When you get started in a home business naturally you need to market your network marketing business by sharing your products and business opportunity with people. You keep introducing people until they develop into leaders and start building their teams with or without you. You have to continue sharing what you have until you are living the life you desire.
There are 3 groups of people you can market to and the speed of your success in the early days will largely be down to your own credibility, influence and skills you have. Now some of you might be thinking OMG I have zero credibility and zero influence. Well the good news for you is I was very much in that place when I got started. I did not let that hold me back because I knew there were Millions of people in this world that were like me, sick and tired of being sick and tired who wanted to change their lives.
Lets explore the 3 different was for marketing your network marketing business.
Hot Market vs Warm Market vs Cold Market
Hot Market
Your hot market simply are the people who love you, trust you, support you and will look at what you have because you ask them to. Again your success with your hot market will largely depend on your credibility & influence plus you showing them that you are all in, excited & are serious. Over the years I have seen some highly credible, sometimes celebrity status people come into our business, but if they did not engage and actually tell their contacts they were excited & they should partner with them, there were zero results.
On the other hand if you have an influential person come into your team who does engage, your business can literally explode. An example of that was the host of Singapore Idol, Gurmit Singh, also a famous Comedian, Actor & Presenter, massively famous in Asia joined our business in 2012 and he went to work. He signed up 8 other influential friends some of which were also celebrities, he went to meetings, he went on DreamTrips vacations which is our product and his team grew by 800 people in 8 months. Now the interesting thing is that Gurmit was in fact a totally cold prospect for the guy who sponsored him by reaching out to him on FaceBook.
Most people will normally have a few people who fall into the hot market category to show as soon as you get started. The trick is show you hot market within
48-72 hours if possible.
Making your list
Make a list of contacts you want to share your products and business with. To start with you should have 20-30 top people to approach. At any given time you should have an ongoing list of 20 people or a target number of leads you are generating daily to share your product/business with. If you build your business online then you have to set some marketing action goals to generate leads. If you click the link below there is an excellent training video on making your list, which will help you. Although this is a training video from my home business what it teaches can be applied to any company.
Master the Invite.
Inviting people to see what you have is one of the keys skills in network marketing success. Most new people totally mess this up and blow out valuable prospects. Your objective when you do the invite is simple, make an appointment to meet someone so you can share what you are doing.

Warm Market
Your warm market is simply the people who would know who you are if you called them, text them or messaged. The fact is by the age of 30 on average people have 300-400 people in their warm market. The challenge here which I see time and time again is reps pre-judging and cherry picking who they show their products and business opportunity to. You may think someone on your phone contacts or FaceBook friends will not be interested because:
- They won’t like you product
- They don’t need the money
- They are too successful
- They are too poor
- They are too rich
- They may laugh at you
- They are not very good on computers
Seriously the list can go on and on. STOP!!! Just show them and let them decide for themselves whether they like what you have or not. By pre-judging you may just be denying someone seeing an opportunity of their lifetime that they are desperate for.
You should also look to expand your warm market constantly as you meet new people and make new connections.
Personally I have a list of 20 warm market people at any one time I will approach to have a look at my business. Once I have a yes or no I cross them off my list.
Cold Market
Many people never have to go to the cold market to build their home business, however this can be very exciting. Challenging, but very exciting. In my first business I built mainly from cold market because I really did run out of people to show my business to. I hear that from a lot of people who pre-judged as mentioned earlier who ask me how do I build in the cold market.
Building your home business in the cold market requires you to learn marketing skills. You will need to have an advertising budget and decide how you want to market online or offline. There are countless ways to market, the key is to test and scale up what works.
Marketing Your Network Marketing Business Using Social Media

I think for anyone wanting to start out building in the cold market, Social Media Recruiting using FaceBook is what I would advise. Currently at the time of writing this 1.4 Billion people are using FaceBook with a massive percentage actively hanging out there daily.
My good friend Jessica Higdon has an exceptional course which I have taken myself that teaches you step by step exactly how to recruit on FaceBook. She shows you how to find targeted prospects and includes exact scripts of messages on what to say to them to get you interested in your business

Marketing Your Network Marketing Business Using Blogging

One of my great friends Ray Higdon (pictured here) is an industry expert on building a personal brand online using blogging & Social Media to generate targeted leads for your home business.
Ray generates over $I Million a year just from his personal blog.
A simple guideline for creating a personal branded blog is:
- Make your website yourname.com eg. shusharya.com
- Create 100 valuable content blog posts within 18-24 months (500-1000 words per post), which are SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) friendly.
- Promote your blog posts using syndication tools and Social Media

If you do this correctly industry experts suggest that you can generate 1 lead per day per blog post. The great thing about these leads you generate from your personal branded blog is that they already know who you are from your blog or Social Media channels (FaceBook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.). So if you speak to someone on the phone, Skype or any other video calling platform you people are much more open to speaking with you.
I personally completed a training course from Ray called the 3 Minute Expert which teaches you exactly how to create your brand and blogging strategies from scratch including showing you all the tools you need to create and promote your blog. For anyone serious about going down this route I highly recommend it. It will cut your learning curve down by years.
