Peter Powderham 40 years in the industry he’s been with 5 different companies that have been through a billion dollars in sales, 9 years in corporate, he was the general manager of NuSkin Europe, he’s owned his own network marketing company, sat on the council of the World DSA and the UK DSA, the European Task Force, he’s been featured on the BBC talking about the Network Marketing industry, he is here talking Network Marketing 101 in front of an audience over 400 on zoom, so lets watch, listen and learn from the man himself…
I saw Peter at a meeting at Heathrow in 2005 with over a hundred people, which saw me transform my business, that was the day that everything changed for me, I just saw a man, an everyday man I could relate to, who was earning around £45,000 per month in residual passive income with that company at the time, now sixteen years ago. I was so determined having seen the vision, I just had to do this, I had to learn how. At the end of the meeting I approached Peter and asked, what do I need to do to make this work, he said to me to go and present this business to five hundred people, do it with enthusiasm, energy, excitement and belief over the next 6 months and he said I promise if you do that you will change your life. I believed him. It transformed my life. At that time I was already working 80 hours per week, I literally cut my hours sleeping by four hours per day to find the time to build this business the vision I had was that strong. I hit my goal of £5000 in passive income per month in 4 years with in 5 years I was making around £20,000 per month in passive income and made £1,500,000 within that company in seven years and since 2008 I’ve lived a life of freedom by taking and acting on the advice that Peter gave me on that day.
Peter talks about his journey where he came from and what drove him, he like me used negative motivators, people who say “You can’t do that!”, “that won’t work”, “you’ll never have your own business!”, “you won’t succeed!”. What Peter calls the ‘in spite of’ list. Used to drive him to success, he was not going to let, other limit his expectations.

In network marketing the more people you help the more money you will make… You make you network marketing business work by serving others.
Applying the 80-20 rule for example of 100 people you recruit only 20 will do something and in turn 5 really will do a lot so you need to focus on helping those that take action and really focus on those 2 that will take their businesses and in turn yours onto the next level.
Use your energy where it’s deserved where it can be best utilised to amplify the potential of those that take action… Countless months or years have been wasted on people you wanted to succeed that will never see the vision or have the drive to make it happen. Focus your attention where it will count the most.

Learn to let go of people you can’t motivate, if it isn’t in them you won’t make it happen

Width is a reference to the people you personally bring into the business, depth refers to the people you seek by driving down into your organisation to find the live wires, the go getters likely people you never knew, you never recruited.
These currently are very difficult times there is great opportunity in adversity, great opportunity for network marketing businesses when the world economy is facing recession or worse depression, it is said the last Great Depression that 30% of the people suffered extreme economic hardship, for 30% nothing changed at all and for the remaining 30% they increased their wealth considerably.
Be one of those in the 30% in every recession many network marketing businesses have grown into huge successful companies, currently only a couple of months into lockdown “how can I work from home” and related search terms have shown a 1500% in searches, now and in the near future is a huge opportunity for you and those around you to prosper. If they are looking for something you need to be there, you need to be presenting your opportunity as the solution, they are likely home, they are likely available, and they are more likely than ever to be ready to act to join you and your business in an attempt to secure their futures. People are more are going to listen, be open and motivated to take action and get involved.
